One of Tunxis’ own students, Leonardo Gonzalez, is having an exhibition of his art at the Art League of New Britain from October 17 to November 9. There is an opening reception on Friday October 17 from 6-8 pm.

If you’d like to try for some bonus points and have the opportunity to get over there (call 860.229.1484 first for their gallery hours), here is what you need to do:

1. Pick one of Leo’s works
2. Write down the title of it
3. Explain how this work meets the criteria of one or more of the following styles we have covered in class so far: impressionism, symbolism, art nouveau, fauvism, expressionism, or cubism.
4. Then type two paragraphs explaining how the work you chose illustrates elements of those styles. Be specific.
5. Hand it in to me no later than Monday, November 10.
